GENTLE GIANTS

A Fine Art photographic series that bears witness to the poetic surrender of the graceful behemoths who once stood regal, steadfast, and tall. These images form a visual elegy for the drowned coastal maritime forests of the southeastern barrier islands. Like grand sculptures scattered along the seashore, the tides flow through their pale, skeletal branches as though memory has taken on the texture of water. These poetic ghost forests anointed by the sea are a breathtaking reminder of the fragility and mercurial nature of the coastal landscape.
